Frank started his career in the hospitality business in restaurants and hotels working as a controller and manager. He worked for Restaurant Associates and The Playboy Hotels before discovering his true loves: computer systems and consulting.
In 1981, Frank started in the club business as an Independent Software Consultant working with MAI Basic 4, the national leader in club software at the time. He implemented software systems in over 60 clubs throughout the northeast until MAI was purchased by a venture capitalist. When MAI went out of business, Frank protected his clients by supporting them himself until 1995.
After careful research, he found the Jonas product and introduced more than 150 clubs to the new world of Windows© over the course of 10 years. However, due to the recent frenzy of mergers and acquisitions, Frank felt that technology rather than "bottom line mentality" must lead the way for clubs. He decided to join the winning team of ClubSoft for this very reason.
All I have heard for the past few years is club software companies promising to go to .NET and SQL. Yet, ClubSoft is the only company taking advantage of these technologies in a completely integrated accounting and point of sale system and not overcharging for software or support. That is how I can continue to protect and serve my clubs. At the end of the day, we are in the service industry just like our clients.
